International Meeting Point

DEFEA – Defence Exhibition Athens positions Greece at the forefront of the international interest, attracting visitors, exhibitors, and delegations from around the globe.

The international aspect of DEFEA is also highlighted by the unique events that are organised. For example in DEFEA 2023 the possibilities for international funding were presented at the highest level.

EU opportunities

In the context of DEFEA 2023, the Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DG DEFIS) organised a roundtable discussion regarding the EU defence policy initiatives and funding opportunities that the European Commission – which also participated with a stand – has to offer.

NATO initiatives

NATO defence innovation initiatives, such us the  Defence Innovation Accelerator for the North Atlantic (DIANA), and the NATO Innovation Fund were presented in DEFEA 2023.  The special event was organised by the Directorate of Defence Investments and Technological Research.
